Who We Are
North Dakotans for Public Integrity is your source for information and action recommendations on making North Dakota state government more transparent and accountable, with greater integrity and responsiveness to citizens. We are a small group of Republicans, Democrats, Independents, and Libertarians who came together to promote integrity and accountability in government. We invested thousands of volunteer hours over nearly two years to bring "Measure 1" to voters on November 6, 2018. With approval from 54 percent of voters in 66 percent of legislative districts, the people added Article XIV to the state Constitution
Article XIV has a section on transparency of spending to influence elections and government action, a section that significantly curbs the influence of money on public officials in the executive and legislative branches, and a section that creates the state's first Ethics Commission.
We Need You
We have a right to know who's spending money to influence our elections, and we deserve to know that our lawmakers are making decisions based on what's best for voters, not just the well connected and powerful.
Big businesses are still (and will always be) actively trying to minimize the voice of North Dakotans. After a very ugly series of hearings, the 2019 legislature passed and the governor signed a law with multiple violations of Article XIV. The majority do not want to be accountable for public integrity.
We need you to pay attention to the Article XIV implementation process - attend meetings*, write letters to the editor, call in to talk shows. Support public officials who support Article XIV. Let the others know you will REMEMBER IN NOVEMBER (2020) when they are up for re-election.

The North Dakota Anti-Corruption Amendment
